I'M SO EXCITED!!!

And I just can't hide it!  I'm in a show, I'm in a show!!!!  Woo-hoooooooooooooo!  The Birds at the lovely Citadel Theatre in beautiful Lake Forest.  I keep pinching myself to make sure it's real.  A fascinating script taken from the same Daphne DuMaurier short story that the Alfred Hitchcock movie is from, though this is an adaptation by the amazing Conor McPherson, an incredible playwright.  Admittedly, neither the movie nor the play has much in common with the story, but they both take their cues from it.  The play is full of mystery and tension and secrets and creepiness, four people at what feels like the end of civilization, and I just cannot wait to dig into it and start rehearsals.  I can't believe my great good fortune getting cast.  So incredibly grateful....

On other fronts, it's raining like a you-know-what, which is so lovely to listen to.  Hopefully, it'll bring an end to this hellacious humidity by which we've been gripped.  I wish I could say the only thing that's been suffering from it has been my hair, but alas, I've had humid brain and body where I feel like an overboiled noodle and my energy is nil.  

But who cares?  I'm in a show!  I'm in a show! :-)
