Just....

...thinking about seeing people that you haven't seen in years and what happens to your brain and your heart.  Ran into an old flame and was surprised at how much he's aged (of course, I haven't! :-) and remembered how crazy about him I was....all gone.  We didn't have much to talk about these many years later and I looked at him and thought, gee, really?  And then I see on the news the lovely story of the World War II paratrooper who fell in love with a teenager in London in 1944, then was sent to jump out of planes and never saw her again.  Now him 93, her 88, they have reconnected.  The cameraman focused on the grasping, emotional hug and their smiling, aged, beaming faces.  Amazing what happens to your brain and your heart....
