Kids.....

...draw the most adorable things, don't they?  Going through some stuff at my mom's, I found a drawing of my sister's of our family done in the first grade, maybe?  Kindergarten?  These used to be mandatory when I was growing up.  Do kids still do this in school every year?  I know there are more in boxes somewhere at Mom's with drawings from each of us that show us growing up through the years through the eyes of me and my siblings.  I find this charming and thought maybe it'd bring back some memories for you of you doing this in school.  It's so interesting how she placed us on the page, girls with girls, boys with boys; Mom, me, my sister, Dad all smiling....my brothers, not so much.  This must have been when we were pretty small because my hair is blondish, which is what it was when I was wee.  I love that Mom has a ton of hair, which she still does, and Dad...well, let's just say his hair is thin.  My brothers have noses and the rest of us don't.  I love the colors, the use of the paper...why are we all so small and at the bottom of the page?  And we're all almost the same height, even though that obviously can't be....ahhhh, the mind of a kid.  Fascinating.
