Musing....

....about so many things this morning.  Thinking about how far we've come since MLK was assassinated and how far we still have to go.  Feeling like we've taken ten steps forward and twenty steps back.  Wondering why people hate each other because of their skin color or religion and fear people who aren't carbon copies of themselves.  Can't understand why we can't just live together in peace and harmony and let our differences be a celebration instead of an altercation.  Fearing the anti-Semitism that is raging across the world, especially in Europe where you would think it wouldn't be.  Confused about anyone who supports the orange f**kwad that sits in the White House, a person who doesn't deserve to head a company, much less a nation.  Hoping that all of the marches and protests and letters and calls lead to better days ahead and that real, positive change happens here and abroad and that love triumphs over hate.  Despairing today and can't shake it.  Hoping that your day is going better than mine and that you love and are loved fiercely by friends and family that support you and encourage you and that you are putting your energies into positive, forward-thinking, creative, beautiful things that make the world, at large and at small, a happier, gentler, kinder, more accepting place.

I'm going to hang with Rusty for a bit and see if I can change my mood.
