1945....

....to 2016.  A long road for the Cubs and their fans.  SO exciting to bring the Series back to Wrigley after all this time!  Even from here, I can feel the excitement in the air.  This is one for the ages, for sure.

On another note, oh, my goodness, but it's closing weekend for The Birds!  It's gone by so quickly and I've been having the most fun!  I was thinking this morning what a confidence builder being in a show has been/continues to be for me.  And how right I feel in my world when I get to wake up and just be an actor.   Those opportunities don't come along every day, so I have to relish them and cherish them and keep that spirit within me during times of famine in this feast-or-famine career of mine.  What a joy it's been to explore this complicated play and this fascinating world and Diane, a multi-faceted woman who, when push comes to shove, is the ultimate survivor.  I think one of the best compliments that I've gotten from a patron is, "You encompass all of the human condition!  How did you do that?!"  I mean....I wanted to write her a check right then and there!  Some lovely friends came last night and several of us went out to a bar in Lake Bluff to talk and laugh and discuss.  Man, I've been living the dream!  And when the dream is reality, boy....how do you top that?!
