....that my softball season ended last night in a split doubleheader. We won the first game with my fabulous team playing short a woman -- me -- because I was in a recording session, but I managed to get there in the last two innings and got to celebrate the win. However, we didn't play well in the second game and lost handily. Had we won, we'd be heading to the championship game next week. Ah, well....we had a great season and I'm really proud of my teammates. It was a difficult season for us -- lots of injuries, lots of missing people (me being one of them because I was working a lot in recording studios -- yay!), but we managed to make it almost all the way. So next year will be much different because one of the greats of the game, another pitcher on my team who has been in the league forever (and I can tell you it was much better playing with him than against him) says this is his last year, which is weird to think of him not being there since he's ALWAYS been there....another of my teammates is having triplets (!!!) and so we'll lose her and her husband, both amazing players....so we'll just have to see how we fare when April comes along. Ch-ch-ch-changes (turn and face the strange).
Hope your day is filled with all things wonderful.
