I'm narrating two books! Two!!! I can hardly believe it! I'm sooooo incredibly excited! I'll keep you posted as to what they are and where you can get them when they're done. This is really such exciting territory to explore and I can't believe my great good fortune in saying yes to a new career path and having the new path say yes to me :-)
On other fronts, Thanksgiving was really special and dear this year. Thanksgiving at my Aunt Marilyn's, who's not really my aunt in the dictionary sense of the word but has been my mom's best friend our whole lives, so she's family, for sure, and she outdid herself with the food (she's an amazing cook) and the charm. And Mom's other best friend, Sylvia, joined us and we all had the best time :-) Just what I had hoped for myself and for you, a lovely holiday filled with love, great food, fabulous friends and family, and the joy of celebrating each other. It really doesn't get any better than that.
My contribution to the meal (because both Mom and I are vegetarians) is pictured below during the cooking process: Veggie lasagna. So much goodness in there: onions, mushrooms, spinach, red peppers, broccoli, zucchini, and yellow squash, among other things. Last year, I forgot the middle layer of noodles, but because I use so much cheese -- provolone, mozzarella, ricotta, and a five-cheese Italian mix -- the middle layer was cheese and it turned out fine. This year, I remembered the noodles :-) I never know how it's going to taste because I never use a recipe. It came out well, thank goodness!
