Catching Up....

...and b-r-e-a-t-h-i-n-g after an oh-so-busy week.  I went to two Passovers this year, which is a lot of Let My People Go-ing, but such a fabulous time at both of them.  The first was actually the night before Passover, but it worked out that my BFF needed to do it then and I was able to make it.  A joy, through and through.  And then the next night in the Indiana Dunes where my amazing aunt and uncle live, and that's where I attend my traditional Passover soiree.  What fun! what a great time seeing my cousins and their kids, who were non-existent, then babies, now one of them is a college graduate, one is in college, one is going to college next year.  My, how time completely ignores us and does whatever the heck it wants to do!  Two different Passovers, both completely about love and looking at the present with an eye to the future, trying to explain how we got here and help us get where we're going.  Both filled with friends and family and FOOD and wine (and wine and wine and WINE!) and laughter and love and everything that a Passover ought to be.  Yep, I know I use "grateful" a lot in this blog, but really........I so am!

Also had a couple of auditions that were fun to prepare, one that I've been working on for over a month.  I obsess, totally obsess, during prep for an audition, and so I'm happy that the audition finally happened so I can think about other things.  I got to create three different characters for this audition and it was terrific fun thinking about their physical lives, their accents (it was all British), their gestures, their attitudes, and to create a well-rounded, full human being in just a few sentences, because by and large, these three scenes were very short.  A marvelous challenge and what a hoot to work on.

(I'm not mentioning the bombings or politics or shameful press conferences and how very afraid I am about this scary, maniacal, dangerous, idiotic Hawk that we have with a talon over the Red Button....b-r-e-a-t-h-i-n-g....)

I hope your week was everything you wanted it to be.  Here's a hug (  ) for you because surely you need one as much as I do.  Peace out.
