...has begun practices!!! Oh, my goodness, it felt so amazingly fabulous to get out to the fields on a gorgeous day and see old friends and meet new ones, pitch, catch, whack some balls, play a scrimmage game where all was fun and laughter and knocking the rust off. I've been playing in this league since God was a boy and sorely missed our non-season season last year. Cobwebs in every part of my softball joints and brain, but it didn't matter! We were pretty much all in the same boat and just had the best time running around on a beautiful day! We've lost several long-time teams and have a shortened season....many changes to our tiny place in the world, which is a reflection of the monumental changes around the globe of how people do things and carry on in the midst of crises and pandemic. So grateful to the CTSL and so grateful that I said yes many years ago to the lovely Keith who asked me, when I worked in the box office at the Goodman Theatre, if I wanted to play theater league softball on their new team. It pays to say yes. I hope you have a glorious day!
