Do You Solemnly Swear...

....to tell the truth?  Sat transfixed watching the Michael Cohen testimony.  I keep thinking what does he have to lose, either by telling the truth or by lying?  He's going to jail either way.  The appalling behavior of some of the Republican senators really got my goat.  I guess it's just de rigueur these days, unfortunately.  They take their cue from the orange f*ckwad that one can treat anyone and everyone with disrespect and disdain, and somehow, it's okay.  The sneers and the snarls and the hurled snarkiness of these supposedly-respectful people must give us pause and make us think are these people really the people we want running the country?  What kind of example are they setting for America?  for the world?  I think the ones who snark the most are the ones who know they're on a sinking ship, and if they continue to hold on to the coattails of a bigoted, racist, narcissistic, bloated, idiotic liar and cheat, then I guess they deserve what's coming to them.

But let's not stay in that mindset.  Here are some things I'm looking forward to:  spring!!! flowers! budding trees! warmer weather! hiking! baseball! Theater League softball! the Modern Dance class I just started! the Women's World Cup! Game of Thrones! the Perseid meteor shower! camping! life in general because life is good :-)
