...of the season! It rained like the dickens last night, then turned into a heavy snow, and now I'm hearing all sorts of snowblowers blowing it all to kingdom come. Seems early for a blizzard! But there it is....our changing weather of extremes. Remember the old commercial for Chiffon margarine? "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!" Now she'd probably say, "It's not nice to screw with Mother Nature!"
Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving? Ours was small but fabulous. I made my traditional vegetarian lasagna :-) since Mom and I are vegetarians. We also had onion mashed potatoes, roasted veggie gravy (both to die for!), turkey for them's that eats it, pumpkin pie, lots of laughter and discussion and giving thanks for everything we have and hold dear. And the next day? My mom's awesome breakfast of matzoh and eggs...THE BEST BREAKFAST FOOD EVER!
I think it's easy to get caught up in all the things we don't have and lose sight of the abundance in our everyday lives. I'm so grateful for family and friends and pets and love and good health and waking up every day to a world of possibilities. I hope you embrace all that is beautiful and wonderful in your life and that you have a glorious day.
