Fun, Fun, Fun....

....as an extra on a Lowe's shoot yesterday.  I had auditioned for this series of spots, been put on hold, got very excited as the later it got, the more I thought YES! only to be released with a sad no.  However, it was a hoot to be an extra yesterday and get to see the wonderfully lovely Matt Miller, who's been directing all of these spots and could not possibly be a nicer person.  It's one of the best experiences I've had on a shoot due to his friendly and easy-going manner.  Extras are looked at sometimes as necessary but not looked at as actors.  It was great and so refreshing to be treated with respect and congeniality and a feeling of yes, they want us here.  So far from being a "cattle" kind of day :-)  And the other actors were so fun and lively and interesting, all extras being from my fabulous agency, Paonessa Talent.  Such a fun day, reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.  This industry is incredible...heartbreak; happiness; highs and lows; one day you're the star, the next day you're an extra -- I mean, you have to be a little crazy to do this.  I'm so grateful to be a part of the Chicago acting community.  Good eggs, for sure :-)
