Gene Kelly....

....goodness gracious!  We watched Invitation to the Dance over Thanksgiving and it took our breath away!  Three unconnected stories all told in dance and music, directed and choreographed by Gene Kelly.  So much care and detail went into this picture.  Every frame looks like a painting.  The movie bombed in 1956 when it came out, and that's such a shame for everyone who missed the opportunity to see such magnificence and talent on the big screen.  To me, as an artist, it is incredibly inspiring, from the amazing dancers to the costume designers to the cinematographers to the art directors, everyone at their pinnacle of greatness.....it's a treat to behold.  Bravo, Gene!
