Had To Take....

....a day off and think about things that had nothing to do with politics.  Then I felt guilty about that.  But man, sometimes you just need to chill and veg (instead of thinking about ducking and covering -- see, there I go!)  I hightailed it to my fave antique stores and lost myself in days of yore.  Interesting how those stores have moved to mid-century modern (yeah, I got an earful a while back from a going-out-of-business antique dealer on the meaning of "mid-century modern."  I think he was pissed because his store was full of all sorts of crappy junk and he wanted to take his going out of business out on me) and are full of things I grew up with and saw at my grandparents' or parents' friends' houses.  Fun to explore and lose myself in these stores and let my mind wander to things more fun than....see, I'm not going there today.  I'm just not.  I hope you had a wonderful day and did exactly what you needed to do to make your day what you wanted it to be.
