In Between....

...the holidays of Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Insert your December holiday here ______________, and New Year's and just relaxing in the beauty of the day today.  We have sun and warm weather and I have a lovely afterglow from a fabulous loving low-key holiday.  Did you get all you wanted in your stocking?  Are you feeling fresh and happy and loved?  Are you cruising to the New Year with joy in your heart and soul?  I sure hope so.

We went to visit Mom and run beaucoup errands for her, replenish her fridge, fix the gate in her backyard that succumbed to an old tree falling on it, and tried to teach her how to use the new tablet I got for her.  Well....the jury's out on that.  Technology and Mom don't really mix, though she'll be the first to say that technology is fascinating.  But to use it?  Well....she's great on a desktop PC.  I thought it'd be cool for her to be able to take a tablet anywhere she wants -- sit on the couch, lie in bed, sit on the front porch....we'll just have to see whether it scares her or she embraces it.  At 85, there's no telling.  She's very with it and up-to-the-moment on current events and news, but technology is still for her like math is for me -- impossible to comprehend!  Send her good vibes, won't you?
