...and it's 50 degrees outside and we're expecting thunderstorms and large hail. In February. Crazy.
I went to a delightful reading of an original musical at The Greenhouse last night. Illyria, a Twelfth Night musical by John Briggs and Eric Frampton. So many friends in the audience out to support the reading. It was like homecoming. Great to catch up with folks I haven't seen for a while and such fun to watch this joyful reading with incredibly talented and fun actors. This has not been produced. It really should be. It deserves a great production.
Yesterday I got new headshots! A fun, fun time in the studio with Ian McLaren and my wonderful makeup artist Crystal. I guess the proof will be in the pudding how they came out, which I'll know this week. Gee, I remember getting headshots not all that long ago on FILM -- yeah, remember film? And you would wait a couple of weeks for the proof sheets and then have to look at each tiny picture with a loupe or a magnifying glass. Now a couple of days after your shoot, you get them on your computer so you can just whisk them to your agent so they can pick their faves. Technology...amazing :-) Speaking of agents, my phenomenal agents had me come into the office so they could pick my wardrobe for the shoot! Never in the history of me getting shots -- and I've had plenty -- has any agent done that. These are special people, I don't mind telling you, the lovely ladies at Paonessa.
Here's a picture of sunset at Mom's. I sure hope your day is full of beautiful.
