Monday Already?!

Okay, where did the weekend go?!  I swear, it was just Saturday morning!  What a fun-filled, full, fabulous weekend!  The reading on Saturday at Chicago Dramatists was so much fun!  What a terrific piece of writing by Zina Camblin.  What a joy and privilege to be able to play such a complex and hilarious and heartbreaking character.  What a pleasure to work with old friends and new on a great play that certainly deserves a production (hopefully with the cast that was in it on Saturday  :-)  More, please!

And then Sunday, a dear friend and I went to see the Chicago Senior Radio Players with the Chicago Philharmonic Chamber Players at City Winery perform two fabulous radio dramas from the '50s with live music written by Bernard Herrmann (my friend is a Herrmann-o-file, truly an expert on all things Bernard Herrmann.  For those of you who don't know who he is, you know him if you've been enthralled by the music in Psycho, Twisted Nerve, Vertigo, Taxi Driver, and countless other films, radio programs, and TV shows).  It was a blast seeing all of these wonderful, venerable performers of a certain age, masters of their craft, do their thing to a totally appreciative audience.  Bravo to Tony Mockus, Robert Breuler, John Green, Robert Maher, and Madeleine Fallon.  It was a real treat :-)

Hope your day is full of all things marvelous this hectic week of Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to share this beautiful tag my sister made for the wonderful silk pillow that I adore (and Rusty covets, I must say).  Isn't she awesome?!
