Nothing Terribly....

...exciting to report, so I'm reporting it :-)  Got injured in softball the other night, which blows.  My first pitch of the game (yeah, I pitch), strike.  Second pitch, the guy smashes a line drive with a new ball right back at me, which crashed into my glove hand (left) arm and then bounced off of my chest.  I was too stunned to make the play (which pisses me off).  Tried to shake it off, but as I was pitching to the second batter, I realized I couldn't feel my left hand (alarming), so I called time and talked to my coach.  Had to take myself out.  That was Wednesday and I'm still having left arm issues, which totally sucks.  And I'm sporting an enormous bruise and my arm is swollen and stiff.  In the many, many, MANY years I've been playing softball, I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been injured (won't use my left hand, though) and really, it's been incredibly few.  This one is a bad one :-(

On another note, I've got tons of Apple spots coming up (YAY!) and a showcase of scenes that I'm hosting next week, then the MFA directing scene at DePaul.  And the weather is amazing.  And I'm almost fully recovered from my flu debacle.  My energy has been totally sapped from it, but at least I don't feel like a puddle of goo and ache.  Life goes on, thank goodness :-)

Here's what I planted in the beautiful yellow planters one of my BFFs gave me.  And everything's coming up!  Sooo exciting!  I'll keep you posted on their progress.
