Snow Daze....

......in Chicago and Olympics in Peyongchang :-)  Must be winter.  I neglected to dig my car out yesterday, but I guess it's all well because it's snowing more and is supposed to continue into tomorrow.  We haven't been socked in like this for several years, so it's kind of cool (as long as you don't have to go anywhere, although a lot of anywheres closed because of the snow.)

I have been and continue to be one busy audiobook narrator!  So exciting that when you want to start a new career, you actually can!  I'm surprised and delighted that my auditions have been turning into jobs on a regular basis in audiobookland.  Sure wish that would be the same percentages in commercial and theaterland....ah, well.  This is why I started a new career path.  If the original journey is filled with pot holes and retaining walls around the city of my choice, then I have no choice but to venture a different path and look for places that are welcoming.  I'm so thrilled it's working out!  I'm so grateful that people like my voice and want me to narrate their books!  So here's a big lesson for all of us:  don't let other people stop you from doing what you want in your career.  If you want it, get it.  There are a billion ways to make your dreams reality. (Yeah, I know, a little treacly, but it's true!)
