Spread Your Tiny Wings....

....and fly away (remember that lovely Anne Murray song, Snowbird?)  Anyway, this happened the other day:  I'm on my phone with one of my BFFs when I hear a banging on my kitchen window.  Which is odd, because I live on the second floor.  Upon investigating, I see a tiny little sparrow picking out the filaments of my window screen, her mouth full of them, to obviously use in her nest!  I had to bang on the window to make her stop!  Ingenious and destructive at the same time!  Now I have holes in my screen where the mighty nest builder has been harvesting whatever those filaments are that aren't wire!  The little stinker!  I have to admire her, but sheesh!  And guess what?  Heard it again yesterday in my bedroom window!  The little screen thief!  How could she possibly figure out that that stuff would be good in a nest?!  Unbelievable....

Boy, I gotta tell you, this spring has sprung with flying colors and amazing weather.  It's hard to be inside with all the flowers calling and the birds singing and the trees blooming.  As some very lovely man said to me last night, it's magic!  (which, of course, makes me think of the song, "Oh, ho, ho, it's magic, you know, never believe it's not so!")
