The Face....

...of need, love, confusion, and fear.  Another picture for you of Farrell, the feral cat.  Have we done her a service by feeding her, talking to her, petting her when she lets us when she's really a wild creature?  Is feeding her a good or a bad thing?  She meowed so plaintively that it broke my heart, wary of me, chiding me, needing me, afraid of me, wanting me to love her.  I hadn't seen her in a while and she's definitely thinner.  Is it because she's shedding or because we changed her hunting instincts by feeding her cat chow....still she sat on the front bench, guarding the house, saying to all-comers, "I belong here. This is mine."  I wanted to pick her up and take her home with me.  Perhaps my base instinct as a human being...tame nature because we want it, not necessarily because it does.....
