The Ninth Day Of Hanukkah....
....(yes, I know there are only eight days) kind of like the 10th inning, was celebrated with a small group of lovely people, some of whom had never celebrated Hanukkah before. Friends, family, food, fun, amazing conversation, love abounding...what more could a person desire out of a holiday? Yarmulkes off to one of my BFFFs for hosting such a lovely and peaceful celebration and including me and my friend in it. My heart is glowing and happy and rejoicing that kindness and love is not a thing of the past (our government keeps trying to eradicate that off the face of the Earth) and that we can all have different beliefs, but who cares as long as you respect each other and love each other and celebrate our differences as points of learning and knowledge instead of rage and distrust. There are lovely people on this planet. I'm so fortunate to know so many of them.
Happy Whatever it is that you celebrate at this time of year. I hope you are embraced by warmth and love and kindness and acceptance and give out to the world the gift of tolerance and patience and love and peace and all good-hearted things. Here's a hug for you. Spread the joy around.
A friend and I took a lovely Christmas walk last night around the 'hood. My pictures came out not as wonderfully as I had hoped, but I'm sharing some with you nonetheless :-) Don't it purty?
