.....oh, but you know I mean Series -- just having a little play on words there :-) So last night's game, Game 1, was a warmup for my Cubbies. Love how Joe Maddon is so calm about it all. Gives praise to both teams, as he is wont to do, and feels very confident that all will go well. I love that our local announcer said of the winning pitcher for the Indians (who pitched a hell of a game!) that we got Klubered. Which we did. But today is a whole new day to be awesome! I'm honestly trying not to invest too much of my emotions into the World Series. After all, I'm not playing; I'm just cheering and watching great baseball and incredibly happy that the Cubs are in The Show. Being a hyper-competitive person over the years and having to deal with the highs and lows that being that way means, I've come to realize that somebody has to win and somebody has to lose....and though you don't want to be the loser, if you've given it your all and enjoyed every moment, that's what really counts. The world will still turn, the sun will still shine, the birds will still sing, and life will continue, win, lose, or draw.
