....Game of Thrones. Lordy, but it's exciting! I'm still in the first season and am just dazzled by all of it. Last night I watched an episode that blew my mind -- I won't put a spoiler alert here because I won't say anything in case you haven't seen it yet, but man! I couldn't believe what I was watching! And I'm not a binge watcher, so I'll just have to wait for the next episode to come. I prefer DVDs over watching Netflix on my Smart TV. It makes me think of Blockbuster, which I still miss. Remember how fun it was to go to Blockbuster and walk down all the aisles of, first, videos, then DVDs? <Sigh> We're making it so we never have to leave our homes. That's not good. Everyone wants to do things online, so the brick-and-mortar stores are in plenty of trouble. I'd rather go shopping to a mall or a store than shop online. I mean, I have to try stuff on! And hold it in my hands! Or feel the material of a shirt! And, oh, yeah, interact with people! Yeah, I guess I'm old-fashioned, but if being old-fashioned means getting out into the world unplugged and present, then I'm fine with that.
Woke up this a.m. to a zero degree temperature with a -18 "real feel." Feeling so grateful to have a roof over my head and heat and so many things that I probably don't even think about that are such everyday luxuries....so this morning, I'm giving thanks because I've been feeling kind of sorry for myself and that's just silly.
Bought some spray roses to begin the new year. This is a terrible picture, but you get the idea :-) They're so pretty! Enjoy!
