Trying To Figure Out....

....as I have been since the awful presidential election why anyone would vote for taking our country -- and the world -- backwards.  How have the bullies come back into power?  I thought human beings, after the era of Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, and Stalin, had progressed and learned and yearned for a better world, for a world where respect and tolerance prevail.  Where the color of your skin or the amount in your bank account or your gender (chosen or born with) don't define you.  Where you can walk down the street and not worry about being assaulted by thugs who wish to do you harm because you don't look like them.  Where owning a gun doesn't mean that you can tote a weapon like in the Old West and shoot 'em up any time you feel like it.  Where Earth is respected, not raped, for a few more measly dollars in billionaires' pockets.  Yeah, I know, what dream world are you living in, Kristie?  Every day I wake up to some new incredible piece of news perpetrated by the orange fu*kwad and his cronies and where, oh, where are the Republicans with a voice to say out loud to the world:  NO.  This is not who we are and we are NOT going to tolerate this bullshit!  You are making the world a terrible place.  Now we're ousting you for someone with brains, you slimy, idiotic, narcissistic, bigoted, bloated bully!  We work for The People and The People are angry and deserve better!  We're taking our country out of the hands of a despotic dictator!

So go out there and VOTE. Vote your conscience.  Vote for progress.  Vote for your dreams and goals and your children and Earth and the world. Vote to make this world a better place.  Vote because it's your duty.  Vote because if you don't, then you have no right to say anything about anything going on in the world.  Just please VOTE.
