Waking Up....

....to yet another suicide of a famous person....sigh.  I think of all the not-famous people who commit suicide every day whose lives don't get celebrated or splashed across the front page of every newspaper and magazine.  Again, I'm reminded of perspective and seeing the world through eyes other than my own.  When I start to feel sorry for myself over jobs I've lost (which are many) and petty woes that I have (which luckily are few), I am reminded of all the people struggling with depression or illness or any of the thousands of other things people struggle with on a daily basis and I am reminded of how incredibly fortunate I am.....I do believe your life is your own to make or take.  We don't choose how we come into this world.  I believe we should be able to choose how we leave it....nevertheless....

I can't leave on that thought on this rainy but lovely Friday in June.  Life is so short and precious.  I hope you're making the most of your time here, whatever "the most" means to you.  Here's a hug if you need it...some unconditional love for who and what you are.
